Where nature reclaims the steel

Amidst abandoned footbridges, railway tracks, and steel structures, nature is slowly finding its way back into the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord. Young trees and overhanging branches soften the rugged industrial backdrop, while the former blast furnace installations in the background serve as a reminder of a time when this site operated day and night. The combination of industrial heritage and spontaneous vegetation makes the park a unique place where decay and renewal go hand in hand.
