Photo description
The building is a beautiful example of Victorian Neo-Gothicism , an architectural style that was popular at the end of the nineteenth century. Characteristic features include the slender corner towers with spires, the round arches, decorative masonry patterns, and the richly decorated windows. The architect combined medieval inspiration with modern building techniques of the time, resulting in a monumental yet elegant city building. The vertical lines and towers draw the eye upwards and give the building an impressive and stately appearance.
