Rusty lifelines of the blast furnace

Monumental pipes snake through the steel structures of the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord, providing an impressive view of the technical infrastructure of the former blast furnaces. Hot gases and process air were guided through the installations via these pipes, an essential part of the production process. The warm rust tones, rivets, and robust structures form a fascinating backdrop today, in which the history of the steel industry is still visible.
