Love locks along the Seine

Padlocks on a fence along the Seine are a reminder of the romantic tradition in which lovers leave a lock as a symbol of their bond. Although this custom has disappeared from many places in Paris, locks can still be found at a few locations. In the background, the river and historic architecture provide a typical Parisian backdrop.
