Photo description
The Panthéon is one of the most impressive monuments in Paris and a prime example of French neoclassical architecture. The monumental colonnade, the richly sculpted pediment, and the imposing dome are inspired by classical Greek and Roman temples. Originally built as a church, the building now serves as a national mausoleum where some of the greatest French thinkers, writers, and scientists have found their final resting place.
